Are you kidding me ? Mind blown ? They are okay to me. Just saying. ;)
They're pretty cool, but the Hori battle pad is way better (and in OP's defense, this was posted long before the PDP controllers were released). The placement of the dpad feels off on the PDP pad, the sticks feel too tall, and the triggers have "faux" analog, and require you to press all the way down to register a digital press, which just isn't good. The hori battle pad is more of a straight up GameCube controller, with modified triggers and a larger dpad. It feels great.

Pity you bought one of the shitty PDP controllers. Hori is far superior.
I agree, but I can see why someone would prefer the PDP in some ways. They're certainly more stylish, and the triggers feel more like GCN triggers, despite not functioning quite the same.

The triggers give a false impression of being analogue while they're really just digital. I also don't like that the right analogue stick is the same as the one on the left.

agreed. It didn't even endure a single match before the stick broke!
o well..
I don't mean to be rude, but... really? I never understood how people play so roughly that they destroy their controllers like that. Worn out over time, sure, but wrecked after one play session? I know these aren't 1st party controllers, but I have a couple of these, and they're by no means fragile.
Still no l1 button?
Huh?

Hori is going to release a Zelda edition GameCube-styled controller @ http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00ZUNOX9G

I'd totally pre-order it but already have the Pikachu controller, although, if the price drops down to £14 like it did for Pikachu I'll snatch it. Sure.

A few years ago I bought a brandless GameCube controller and despite taking all the care in the world for it, the damn analogue stick went loose nevertheless.

When it comes to paying a good amount of money for a controller then it's either official by Microsoft/Nintendo/Sony or Hori.

OMG I WANT THAT ZELDA CONTROLLER!

And like I said, I understand it wasn't a first party controller he broke, but it's not a no brand cheapo controller either. PDP makes some of the best 3rd party controllers in the business and, from my experience with these controllers in particular, they're not so fragile that they should break after one match.

I have the PDP Peach and Yoshi controllers with matching Wii Remotes and Wii Wheels. I like my controllers, they feel comfty and sturdy. Sure, I miss analog triggers but the controllers feel fine.

I don't mind the lack of analog triggers, I just hate the fact that they're still pressure-sensitive like analog triggers, without being analog. Having to press the triggers all the way down to register a press seriously throws my game off.

I know the same applies to actual GameCube controllers in Brawl (is it that way in Smash 4, as well? I don't know), and that's one of the reasons I don't like Brawl much.

Hori has outdone themselves with this upcoming amazing Link controller! I've got the Pikachi Hori controller but definitely gonna get this one too (pre-ordered already)!
