So i was wanting to test if i could run OS browser on n3ds while in pastacfw.

Well that's a no.

I uninstalled n3ds browser and installed o3ds browser. Here is where i mess up, i got side tracked and forgot to install the N3ds browser back (in sysnand)

Now i can't run ninjahax to fix my error because i have no browser i guess.

I thought since i had CN saved with Ninjhax i wouldn't need the browser to relaunch Ninjhax. Was wrong indeed.

WTF am i to do (tears)

I was serious, if you can't use Cubic Ninja, then use OOT with a gateway and reinstall the N3DS Browser. If you can't buy one, at least borrow one ^^

No way to do it without a gateway? Even with OOT? Thanks for the advice

Well.. what about updating with a game on sky3ds to 9.2? would that repair browser?
I never tried it before... And I wouldn't :D But I remember that we already had problems with updating browser with a game. The game seems like he is doing a partial update. But worth the try. (Don't ask, I don't even know if there's a 9.2 game)

So just access gateway through OOT?

I didn't know i had to have the browser for the Ninjhax AFTER it had been applied to CN. I just assumed i could relaunch Ninjhax without the browser since i already had it saved to CN.

For assuming i have fucked myself.

Why did you install the O3DS browser on a N3DS? To see if the spider exploit would work, what? You should probably leave that shit up to developers, people who actually know what they're doing and that have a sysNAND backup with a hardware mod installed.

I think you can manually install the CN save to the CN cartridge using a Gateway'd O3DS (or a Sky3DS with the DiskWriter program on a PC). There's a thread dedicated to CN saves, since smea's Ninjhax website is down. See: http://gbatemp.net/threads/ninjhax-saves.384336/

It might work. Or not. Depends if the exploit needs to download aditional crap from the internet other than the save that redirects it to the launcher on the internal microSD card...

It doesn't work without the browser for some reason. Gets to 70 percent and stops.

I realize i screwed up, but thanks for the reiteration on the subject.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds

It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
