Man it's more of a bitch to get that back cover off than their manual would seem to imply, but I managed eventually. Worst cover removal that I've EVER had, I was beginning to think mfg defect and they glued it, but got it and swapped in 64GB uSD.

Now gw3ds get busy so I can retire the sky3ds.

I used my fingernail (even though they tell you not to. Spudgers work great for them. The stylus is a failed attempt. Once it's off the first time, it's a bit easier the next time.

Yes it is.

Yes it does. If he is right, maybe GameStop is updating the firmware without us knowing it...

There's no way to update the product without opening the package(and turning it on), which they're not allowed to do, also that means they have to format each time they update, since when you open a new 3DS you need to go through the set-up.

And by law in most countries, a product is considered used if you turn it on (even if once only). Pretty sure Gamestop wouldn't want their asses sued for selling used products.

Ok, good to know. I thought GameStop updated my New 3DS without me knowing it.
I wouldnt put it past them. So far one "new" Wii U game did not have a working Club Nintendo Code, and one 3DS game did not either.

For reference, Gamestop has a nasty habit of sometimes running low on new stock and they tend to sell your the display copy. You can tell because usually you grab it from the shelf and it's open. Then they just root around a drawer for the disc, slap it inside, and call it new.

Also 9 times out of 10, people steal the codes from Gamestop. Especially on used games that people sell back or even new ones on the shelf. It's why I never will buy anything there.

The reds seem to be built better, at least the top hinge is much more firm whereas the "black" (more a slate grey) is pretty floppy. I also think it's just a nicer color. Thinking of doing a mobo swap
