I wasn't aware they stopped supporting 512byte emulation on 4k physical, kinda dumb. Thought you were only referring to the very rare 512 byte physical sector size 2TB drives. BTW, I bought my 2TB drive very recently.

I guess you got a point there, i though most 2TB did not have the 512 byte sectors emulation.

the_randomizer I'm not sure what your HDD problem is but for what it's worth I'm using a 1TB WD My Passport HDD for my Wii, it works great with everything, Dios Mios included.

I recently bought a new one for back up purposes, I asked the guy to get me a WD My Passport but he got me a WD My Elements instead and I didn't notice this until I went home and opened the cover, I tried it and it worked fine with Nintendont but it didn't work at all with Dios Mios, I'm always up to date with Nintendont btw.

From my experience Nintendont has a far better compatibility for brands than Dios Mios, I say try to update and see what happens before you assume it won't work and be left in the dark, I remember people did that too back in the days in the Dios Mios topic.

Unfortunately, there is a problem where nintendont doesn't switch to pal when running the gui on a pal wii with a pal tv and an rgb scart cable. I use the original (nintendo) rgb to scart cable but any rgb cable will cause the same problem.

It is normal though for an ntsc game to display this red tint on a pal tv that doesn't speak ntsc. As morgoth32 wrote, you need to manually force such games to pal, most will work afterwards.

However, there is no workaround for the gui problem and it really messes things up. There is a lot of activity going on in nindendont and many things get improved. Hopefully, the developers will find the time to deal with our problem in the future.
Ok, so games are working as they should with RGB. But hope devs can do anything with the GUI in the future.
I have the official Wii RGB cable too. My tv displays NTSC PS2, NGC, Wii games with colours (without forcing video mode) if I connect those consoles with composite cable (red, yellow, white) or using the RGB cable in the second SCART connection. I guess then that one SCART connection is RGB compatible but the second one is not.

Well, it works on my Wii just fine, but this was with an older version of Nintendont, I haven't even tried the most recent version yet to be perfectly honest, heh. 500 GB MyPassport, but this is a 2011 model, so I don't even know how well it'll work.

Try it out, you got nothing to lose.
Even so, if it does not work with the newest official revision, I think AbdallahTerro's fork has a version that enables all of the HDDs from r229 and also has all of the current updates.

Will test on Wii instead, even though I have the Gamecube adapter (official) on my Wii U, not sure why I prefer the Wii version.

abz 229 is normal 229 theres no further fixes i dont know where you got that idea.

Well that sucks...so that means those who are forever stuck can't experience the better compatibility or new features....lame.:glare:

Yep, try it out and let us know if your HDD still works with the latest revision.

If not, simply switch to Abz fork of nintendont and you'll be fine too.

Ugh, will do.

theoretically all drives which get detected in the loader should work in the kernel but I made some unknown mistake in porting it and I cant reproduce it myself, by now I tried 7 different usb devices and they work just fine.

I tested the raphnet adapter and it seems to work. Here's the config:
Code:
[raphnet.net GC/N64 to USB, v2]
VID=1740
PID=057f
Polltype=1
DPAD=0
A=7,10
B=7,08
X=7,04
Y=7,02
Z=7,80
L=7,20
R=7,40
S=7,01
Left=0,08
Down=0,02
Right=0,04
Up=0,01
StickX=1
StickY=2
CStickX=3
CStickY=4
LAnalog=5
RAnalog=6

I'm looking for help with the raphnet adapter. I have a newer version of it, so I changed

Code:
[raphnet.net GC/N64 to USB, v2.9]
VID=289B
PID=000C

Got nintendont to recognise it and it seems like all the buttons work, but it seems like either the L or R button are contantly in a state of being held down (I tried playing smash bros melee and it's constantly shielding). There may be some other issues with another button or two such as A/start but I'm not completely sure, because I couldn't really navigate all the game menus properly because pressing the analog stick seems to be also causing something else to trigger.

I'm pretty sure some of the values just need changing but I have no idea what to do.

why are you forcing pal60 on a ntsc game anyway? just keep it ntsc you dont gain anything from it, and some games cant be forced due to how they are coded to a diferent videomode.

either choose auto or force ntsc dont force pal srs.

I bought mine in 2010 and it works fine on the Wii, as for the Wii U it didn't work without the y-cable!

Has anyone legitimately gotten the microphone to work with Nintendont? Because I am tearing my hair out here. It makes no difference what my settings are, Nintendont just refuses to boot when the mic is in slot B.
