Yeah, I loved the course designer on modnation racers. One of the best parts of that game.

Here is the jist:
Browser connects to exploit site on a LAN
Browser crashes into custom code
Browser gets Kernel from a different crash
Exploit cleans up and phones home ( i haven't understand that part)
Home then edits MK8's memory at will
Memory edited to load files off of server
Custom content

This will get better with time, but for now that is how it works.

Basically the kernel exploits breaks the wii u's kernel and it needs to clean up after itself otherwise it would crash. Since it loads files from a remote machine it needs to connect back to enable the computer to remotely read and write the memory.

All Wii U applications are signed, you can't just "mod' them.

Only until the 13th, which is next week. In other words, Just enjoy a week of hobby pursuing and hacking until then maybe. I'm not sure.
