So now I'm a happeh GW owner, bringing me to this thread with some questions..
For now that's all I can think of, thanks guys!

2. Can I use the retail game saves I have and also play future games?
3. What is the DS card for? Is that for backing up NDS games?

But how can you tell what to delete, such as streetpasses for games that you don't actively play and such?

Yes Gateway is worth getting in my opinion, and most other people will agree now that it's released.
2. yes you can actually, I still use my retail version of smash
3. DS card is used for the exploit.

What about Saves? Can I use it in conjunction with Powersaves 3ds?

Is there a list of retail game's saves that do/do not work with Gateway?

How do I back-up and restore CIA save files. Anyone got a how to guide? I'm using Gateway 4.5 PAL with current emuNAND.

Odd :x .. I've gone to it several times and.. Alls good :x .. I couldn't have been lucky SO many times.. But for playing it safe Ill just use BBB

I got lucky and my 3DS downloaded latest OFW update. Now when using GW exploit on my 9.2 machine I get so called "update nag". I'm thinking about downgrading my 3DS and using DS Profile exploit + installing 9.4 emunand. Will I get rid of update reminder?
I got a bunch of legally bought games on my 3DS and wouldn't want to permanently lose them in the process. Do I understand correctly that I'll be able to download them from eshop after I downgrade and update to latest emunand?

if i downgrade my 3ds to 4.5 and install cfw, can i upgrade with a game to higher firmware to run the game and can use still dev menu?

My end goals for my japanese 3DS LL are a bit sideways and I wanted to make sure they are obtainable.
Can I:
1. Dump my US game carts?
2. Downgrade my 9.2 LL (originally shipped with 6.2) to 4.5?
3. Safely block updates on 4.5?
4. Play my US dumps on my JP LL console?
5. Install out of region shop games?

Is a cartridge's save file different if the game was saved in Gateway's Classic Mode as opposed to legit firmware? And if so, does anyone have info that might confirm this would cause problems with Powersaves?

I've been using 9.x Gateway Classic Mode to launch my legit Pokémon Omega Ruby cart but haven't been able to use Powersaves, and I think that Datel's servers just don't like the Gateway Classic Mode save (if the saves are indeed different).

Because if it updates to 9.4 during the fomat I'll pass. I wanted emuNAND.

You can still emuNAND. You'll just have to deal with the gift bug (it's not as bad as it sounds).

So it doesn't update even if it nags everyday? That's good news

Gift bug? Do you mean the CIA unwrapping gift? I think it will not be annoying, I dunno man, when I used to download things from the eShop and see a nice wrapped gift in the HOME Screen I always get excited

Actually if you downgrade the update should go away, if not just format your downgraded system and get rid of it

Wait, don't I need to format the 3DS to downgrade?

By the way, I don't plan to downgrade, I would like to stay on 9.2-20 but if it updates to 9.4 while formatting, then I guess I will downgrade...

Wait, what's the version you get after downgrading? 4.0? Because I don't have any games that bundle with 4.5 firmware...
