Even though the Wii U has a large list of exclusives of which some are great it still feels lacking that none of these three platforms seem to be able to achieve the impressive exclusives that PlayStation 3 had in its day.

I really hope that PS4 gets much better exclusives because this is the one reason I buy consoles for not for being media centre devices.

P.S.: Nintendo's riding too much on the Mario spin-offs and no love for the Metroid series.

as off now the WÜ has the best exclusives and also the most, typical of Nintendo anyways.
Bayonetta 2 is awesome, Super Mario 3D World is pure fun and Mario Kart 8 is the 3rd best in the series(behind of Double Dash and 64). I could go on and on talking about WÜ exclusives.

you forgot to add Infamous First Light and Bloodborne in the PS4 list. counting those two the PS4 has pretty amazing games.

the Xbone has a good list too, but I don't like like half the games of the list.
and you forgot about Forza Horizon 2 and Rise of the Tomb Raider(timed exclusive for an unknown time).

Bayonetta 1 is not an exclusive, nor is Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate - the first was released on the PS3 and the 360, the latter is available on the 3DS. I won't count Sonic: Lost World since the 3DS game is completely different.

Bloodborne, Disgaea 5, God Eater 2, Resogun, Rime, Gran Turismo 7, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture, Basement Crawl, Hyperdimension Neptunia V II, a new Hotshots Golf, N++, there's a Ratchet and Clank game coming in 2015, Until Dawn, and quite a few more that aren't as notable coming in 2015 as well.

You also forgot Crack Down, Crimson Dragon, Fighter Within, Crimson Dragon, that D4 game released recently, and a few other XBone exclusives that aren't as notable.

I voted wiiu for obvious reasons. Even though the PS4/xbone lists looks way too short (thanks, Tom Bombadildo), the wiiu has the kind of exclusive games I tend to want.


The thing is, though, that when looking at exclusive games, your view is skewed. I'm sure there are way more games that come both to PS4 and xbone but not on the wiiu. A list like this is only interesting if you're looking to buy more than one console*. But if you've got a solid library of games to pick from, that hardly matters.



*for the record: I'm sure it IS interesting to quite some people. I don't mean to sound condescending to these guys/girls.

Well, in terms of exclusives, I go with Nintendo. There's always Mario and Zelda games, but my favorite Nintendo games are Pikmin, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, and Advance Wars. Obviously Fire Emblem and Advance Wars aren't confirmed for Wii U (thought SMT X FE for Wii U should be added to the "coming soon" list)
Pikmin 3, ZombiU, and Lego City Undercover are more than reason enough for me to go with Wii U in terms of best exclusives. PS4 and XB1 will have greater overall lineups, but I don't know if either will match Wii U in exclusives, at least for me.

I didn't forget inFamous: First Light it's just that's a DLC turned into a full retail game much like New Super Luigi U.

Ratchet and Clank for PS4? That's cool I thought Insomniac had some kind of a contract with Microsoft to make Xbox-exclusives only. Maybe we'll see Sunset Overdrive 2 on PS4.

Insomniac Games has been a Sony exclusive dev for years, with Sunset Overdrive being the second non-Playstation game they've made.

As it stands today, I actually voted Wii U on this one. Surprised? You shouldn't be. Nintendo's exclusives are definitely high-profile and I acknowledge that - they make good games. The system is lackluster, the exclusive content isn't, at least not in my opinion. I'm agreeing with Guild though, the PS4 has better prospects for the future as a console in general - it's affordable, it's the beefiest out of the bunch and it clearly has the install base and the sales to drive developers to develop for it.

Shovel Knight (3DS, PC, Wii U), Mighty Switch Force 1/2 (3DS, Wii U), Shantae and the Pirate's Curse (3DS, Wii U), Tengami (PC, iOS, Wii U) - All of these are eShop titles and not exclusive to the Wii U (I acknowledge that there are games on the list which are listed for the 3DS too though)
