No, but your argument is that it has to be usable by the masses to be a valid release, I'm not debating the origins of flashcards, I'm just pointing out you can't have it both ways, if it works for some it's legit....I'm finished on the matter anyway your just sounding like we should rename the scene to gateway scene

Yes of course it has to be usable by the masses, that's why i used the example of a PC game release.. it can't just 'not work'. The scene is for releasing shit that works; trust me if they wanted to, groups like VENOM, ABSTRAKT or other proper groups could release all kinds of crap from their 3DS's that don't work. How about re-releasing the entire NES set re-injected instead of a tool to do it for everyone? That's the kind of bullshit you get from quantity over quality groups who want to up their release count.

it's another +1 pre for BBB to make them look better. Along with all the giant useless Demos they release, that already shows the mindset.'

surely EVERY single thing that can get dumped, should get dumped. i'm not complaining about 'Outback Pet Rescue 3D' getting dumped, i'm sure it sucks, but i still want it to get dumped.

the 'scene' is not perfect, that is why there are stuff like no-intro... etc etc, just be happy someone is dumping the games so you don't have have to leave your sweaty basement to buy them, jeez

Gateway and modifications of Gateway i count as one flashcart, it's one method, they are the primary progressives in actually hacking the system for piracy purposes. You know what i meant but if you want to be pedantic go ahead.

I mentioned the postcount for a reason i guess you didn't understand what i was implying by someone with a low postcount and a fake country flag coming to defend a certain team on here?

This isn't even a 'dump' it's bought from the eshop for BBB to have another release. That's all. I don't care if it's done, it doesn't affect me at all i'm not 'grateful' for it. The scene is a competition, i'm sure the groups can handle criticism. Releasing useless stuff in a competition isn't very impressive, and it's not even useful to the enduser.

There's good reasons you don't release EVERYTHING available when it doesn't even work. I just gave a big example, the fact 100's of giant PS3 releases didn't even work once a hack appeared.

anyway, the first time they released eshops as .3ds it didn work neither, but gateway made it work (could be the same here).
But if people wants to play it now they have to create their own emunand (which is slighly harder).

but now i am wondering how they get the money to buy all those games and dump them?

Some individuals put a lot of money just from themselves into the scene for some reason; some collaborate and pool money towards as a group, and some is just free from store people (not eshop ones ofc). Gateway know about eshop games and have the files i'm sure they don't need a group to release it, they are sceners too, they know people to provide all this. If BBB wants to feel good for influencing GW to implement features they always had in mind then fair enough. Its just been a folly over the years to release stuff early without knowing for certain it's going to work. That's why it's more of a gesture that 'hey we have these files before they are useful ' rather than actually believing it's going to help.

It's progress atleast, nobody had dumped dlc before as far as im aware, let alone merged into a rom, where's the harm? There's no downsides to this release. Hopefully we'll be able to play it sooner rather than later.

If anyone wasn't convinced by what i said earlier, let's have a look at some today's contribution from BBB to the 'scene'

F.Zero.GBA.VC.JPN.3DSWare.FIXED.3DS-BigBlueBox (plus every other GBA VC title)
A proper/fixed version of a release that doesn't work, except.. it also doesn't work. Plus not only release one of them, release ALL of them (??).

The original release worked fine, but they added some padding! Thanks BBB! How the fuck is adding some 00's worthy of a fixed release? It's not even from a cart...

They release ANYTHING to get their release count up, isn't it obvious.

Another day another 11 releases for BBB - 9 don't work still, 1 is a fixed version of a game that already worked but they added some 00s on the end, 1 is a demo of a game thats already out fully. But sure it looks nice another nice 11 pre's to put on your list of achievements.

Our beta testers have mentioned a few minor issues:
* The Gameboy Advance virtual console games and DSiWare are not working yet.
We acknowledge this and we will try to get it working after the next firmware release.

This was after the GBA releases of BBB, even though it was know pretty much since day one that Gateway was lacking support for DS mode and they were emailed numerous times about it.
