Is there any news and hope for SMP? The x360 guys have ideas but seem to disappear. While the other pieces are needed the SMP seems to be the impossible piece of the puzzle. Has anyone considered "drivers" from Wii U side? Obviously it will take iosu access I believe and those who are closer (kernel exploits) may at least give the files. Or do they have access but no "exploit"?

probably reported to mediafire by someone who doesn`t even understand what this is and thinks it`s just game hacking and backup loading related.... hate such kids, who report things, which they don`t even understand

There's a torrent link around. I just can't post it here on gbatemp per forum rules. Ps3hax.net has said link on the trinux thread :-)
Are magnet links too? Anyway, I'm downloading, but I think it won't download anything.
I'm downloading the truncated image and I will try to untruncate it by resizing the ext partition with GParted.

Yes it is a magnet linnk already. As for the truncated image, you shouldn't have to resize anything. Its just that rumblpak ripped out all of the unecessary empty space to make it small enough to fit on a 2gb card

Yes magnet links are forbidden as well.

As for the login, you need to click "more..." and manually type in "root" as the user then "trinux" for the password, then CHANGE said password for obvious reasons.

If you're unable to type at all, trinujx prolly just doesn't like ur keyboard. As Ninja_Carver suggested, try an older keyboard. It doesn't matter what port you plug it into. Trinux is able to see all 4 usb ports on the wii u and should pick up your keyboard automatically (unless it doesn't like ur keyboard of course ;-)

I mean, are magnet links against the rules too?
Anyway, I resized the partition and it worked, but my keyboard doesn't work for some reason and I'm trying to use the autologin.
Do I have to use a specific port for the keyboard?

It worked! I already tried it before and it didn't work. I used the bottom rear USB port (before booting Trinux) and auto-login as root, if that matters.
Now I'll try to emulate the mouse (mine doesn't work very well) then I'll try to connect to the Internet via Bluetooth (using an USB adapter) and my Android phone ;)

You can prolly fix ur mouse issues by tweaking the mouse sensitivity settings. That's what I had to do. Mine was so sensitive it was barely usable lol. Thankfully I was able to get into the settings and tweak it accordingly.

Glad to here u got it working. Let us know if ur tethering setup works out :-)

It doesn't work. I have two mice: one is wireless and moves up and down plus to the right if you click, and a wired one, which goes normally on the X axis but it is too fast on the Y axis, and also the wheel is triggered on mouse Y (???).

The USB Bluetooth adapter is listed on lsusb but nothing happens (probably there is no enough power). I tried using USB tethering instead but maaaaany things are missing. I could not run ifconfig because net-tools was not installed. I had to download the deb file from my PC and copy it to /var/cache/apt/archives to install it because there is no way to mount my USB drive, which works fine outside Trinux and is also listed on lsusb but not on /dev. I ran ifconfig and only lo was listed (the phone is listed on lsusb and the tethering is enabled). Also, I couldn't init the networking service. It exists, but it stops instead of starting.
USB Tethering should work with some tweaking and it could be useful.

I had the same problem with a wireless mouse, it only goes up or down, if I left click or right click it goes left LOL.

My wireless Logitec keyboard works flawlessly though.

i only have a simple mouse daemon running, no extra drivers or mappings for mice with extra buttons, etc... when you only have 24MB ram to work with, you trim the fat where you can :P.

It CAN definitely work, you just need to do a bit of research to get it working.

I had this problem as well, but simply switching to another mouse resolved that issue :). Then I just needed to tweak the mouse sensitivity and it was fine :)

My USB tethering still doesn't work and I don't really know what's missing, it works totally OOB on my PC with Ubuntu 14.04.
Also when you reboot from the terminal, it reboots, black screen and drive sound but then nothing happens. Could this be exploitable?

I have no idea whether or not this would be exploitable. Its certainly worth looking into however :). I never even thought of it, maybe we could force it into rebooting into Wii U mode somehow and then launch some unsigned code to bypass a lot of the Wii U's security. Because when you reboot from Trinux (even in the GUI), it attempts to reboot the Wii U entirely, but hangs shortly after the Wii U tries to fire back up. While you won't get a video output on your tv when this happens, it shows the normal Wii U boot up splash screen on the Gamepad then hangs (and eventually the gamepad becomes disconnected). Thoughts on this? I would tag the usual experts ie Marionumber1, NWPlayer123, Maxternal, Ninja_Carver etc etc, but unfortunately, tagging doesn't seem to be working correctly at the moment ><. It might just be an issue with firefox on Ubuntu 14.04, not sure. I'm on that partition on my laptop right now, so that's where I'm posting from....
