because scene releases are considered "clean", the header info isnt actually part of the rom normally, the gateway dumper strips the header from the chip and injects it into the rom file so it can use the information to connect online.........so really the dumps with header info are technically bad dumps

also if nintendo ever does block shared header data the uploader could potentially be blocking their own cart so a bunch of random people can use their header

you can use one of the public headers shared in this thread

the headers have to be a legitimate header ripped from a real game, but you can slightly adjust some parts to make it work with other roms.....anyway read the thread it has all the info there

And one more thing,
If I dump my EUR MK7 game, can I inject the header to the US MK7 scene dump AND use the same savegame as the EUR dump?
Both games will have the same header, so I guess it can work, isn't it?

Can i update my emunand in classic mode via the system settings, without the red cart?

My gateway cart hasn't arrived yet but I had a DS flashcart lying around so got the gateway menu sorted using that. Would like to update and browse the eShop while I'm waiting for the gateway.

nope the gateway card needs to be inserted to boot into 8.1 emunand

I have a weird issue, lately when I exit a game that's running with emunand it quits back out to the real system menu.

Why is that?

some games do that....most notably smash bros, the trick is to press home and launch something else like the camera app or something, this will close the game and keep you in emunand

Has anyone ordered from BestR4i3DS and had problems with the shipping? My package left Compton at 4AM on a Friday and has not arrived anywhere. It essentially left one place on a Friday morning and failed to get anyway over the course of three days.

well NDS flashcards work on the 2DS like the one linked....but just be aware they will only play original DS games not 3DS, the ones that play 3DS games only work on 4.x so there are none compatible with the 2DS

the only card that plays GBA roms to a playable level is the DStwo, there is a emulator for other cards, but tbh its not really usable, very buggy and tbh i didn't actually get a single game to play at a bearable level, but from what i have heard the DStwo gba emulator is pretty good,

The crazy thing is that they usually do on Saturdays. On top of that, it's been a full day (Monday) with no sign of movement. It hasn't even been logged as arriving anywhere.

I don't think you can, but I might be wrong. I just remember reading something that if you format it it's gone, you need to download the emunand tool which will back up your emunand that way if you do format it for whatever reason you can just place it back on using the tool.

Dude, chill lol. It's been a couple of days, I get that you're eager but watching the package all day isn't going to make it arrive anytime sooner give it until the end of the week.

So I backed up my nand.bin to my sd card and I need to push it to my 3ds to downgrade it. Do I have to convert it to an img file to do so? Or can I just Win32 Disk Imager and push the nand.bin file.

Locked all net access to avoid update accidents.

Hi Guys,

I'm new to the flashcart scene on the 3DS. I've recently bought a Japanese 3DS (the Kingdom Hearts 3D Console to be precise) and I've bought the Gateway 3DS just a few days ago. Did I mention that I couldn't read Japanese, reason I bought the console is because I'm sort of a collector but this is actually the first time I've bought a Nintendo console from Japan (bought some Playstation ones but they had english built in to their firmware unlike Nintendo). So naturally the version on my 3DS is 3.0.0-6J.

First question is whether I can use the cart to unlock the region-lock to be able to play NA cartridges on this firmware?
Second - Can I change the console language somehow using this flashcart?
