I have a question... More of a request, regarding the banners for Dios-Mios because I don't use the channels but I always use banners in USB-Loader GX, I was wondering can anyone create/link to the GC original bios screen as a banner for GC games? I would very much love to be able to see that screen every time I run a GC games from USB-Loader for nostalgia purposes, would be nice if also the screen showed the game logo either during the bios screen or when the animation is finished but if that's not possible I'd just go for the original GC bios screen if possible!
the original GC banner was posted earlier, I also made a tutorial on how to replace a banner or switch banners among channels.
TC

Thanks for the reply man, but I can't seem to find it, the first page is busy and is slow on my computer, could you lead me to which one to download please?

Sure:
GC banner/wad on this page: http://gbatemp.net/topic/325003-custom-gc-channelbanner-collection-for-system-menubackup-loaders/page__st__690

Tutorial: Switching banners, icons or sound among channels using Showmiiwads

1.extract my wad to folder
2.unpack 00000000.app using "extract u8 archive"
3.you'll find a folder called "meta" and inside icon.bin banner.bin and sound.bin
4.do same with your wad
5.copy your banner.bin to my "meta" folder/replace existing one
6. pack the 00000000.app file again using imet header no compression, name the channel replace existing one
7. rename new 0000000.app to id3.bnr for loaders
8. pack the new wad (don't forget to delete the extracted folders first)

Done

This tutorial can also be used to change icon and sound.
Hope this was helpful

Thanks Abdallah but I got a problem, I used this file http://gbatemp.net/topic/329342-dios-mios-lite/page__st__705__p__4285825#entry4285825 and extracted the 00000000.app using u8 tools, then I tried replacing the file with another .bnr file but everytime I try it USB Loader GX just creates the original .bnr file instead, what am I doing wrong? I just want a .bnr file that plays the GC bios screen with sound before the game starts!

000000000000.app IS the full banner (icon + sound + full screen banner) you just need to rename this file to ID3 or ID6.bnr and place it in the banner cache folder.
Tip: delete the old ID6 or ID3 files and copy your new ones to banner cache folders, if both files are present for the same game ID6 will be read (ID3 ignored)
This banner file you made will not have the tiny icon with the game logo, instead just a tiny NGC logo.
the tutorial I gave you before allows you to insert the game logo (i.e. icon.tpl file) from one of my channels to this banner, so that you can easily know which game you are selecting.

I would recommend to extract the banner.tpl file from the 000000000.app you mentioned above using u8 tools and add this file to my channel's banners and rename your custom files to ID6.bnr

Good luck, :)

Edit: just to make sure here's the extracted app file renamed to ID6_or_Id3.bnr : http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?75lnfn5vgdj579a

Here's the easiest way for you
34iqq15.jpg

Source Wad=DML channel with the NGC banner
the icon (below) is from the required game channel

create the wad and extract 00000000.app rename to ID3 in this case GW7.bnr and you're ready to go

Edit: Do the same with the other games (might take while if you're a pirate :))
Have a nice day

Thanks for the help, I downloaded the ID6_or_Id3.bnr file, I'm not gonna change the icons, at least not for now since I always show the games as titles with the boxart next to it on the side in USB-Loader GX!

Edit: I just tried it out and it worked fine, only that the icon shows the GC logo like you said but it shouldn't be a problem because I always show the boxart of the game anyway, might change the icons later on, I did however notice a bit of a slow down with the animation, it seems when I click on a game and the banner appears it's not synched with the BGM but if I scroll to it "i.e. choose another game then move left or right to it" it synch, wonder if that's normal or if I did something wrong, either ways it works just fine, thanks for helping me get the nostalgia feeling again man ^_^

Sync issues happen sometime with "big" bnr files which has either a uncompressed sound or too many tpl's like this one,
lemme check If I can compress that file more using bns format for the audio, (I really doubt it though since the main issue here is the really large number of tpl ~40 frames)

Also I might try the one I linked to earlier on.

Will let u know :)

Edit: Ohhh!! and also, is there a way to make forwarder channels for the gamecube games?
What about the forwarder channels question?
Sure, right here. http://gbatemp.net/t...backup-loaders/
I tried those but i got an error for every game
What did the error say?

Ummm, Unistalled them.... but hold on a second

Edit: From what i can see... it says
"area! al error app_entry is not within the apploader"

They work fine if i open them thru Usb Loader GX

This is because you are using some old channels with the latest DM.

GX works fine because it's compatible with all DM(L) revisions.

I made more than half the channels ~300 before DM with USB support was created,

so many things has changed and DM-Booter was updated 30 times.

Only most wanted 60 or so games are compatible with latest DM they also come with custom sound, grab them from here: http://www.mediafire.com/?432mdvmi8dkr4

For the other games I made a tutorial describing how you can update the channels here: http://gbatemp.net/topic/325003-custom-gc-channelbanner-collection-for-system-menuusb-loader-gx/page__view__findpost__p__4184210

I'm using DM 2.0 because 2.2 didnt work, and even the most wanted channels still dont work.... same exact error

Edit: im not the brightest guy, sooo im clueless about that tutorial isnt there some finished ones? comepletely ready to go? lol
I have the following games, and they all showed errors
Shadow the Hedgehog, Sonic Adventure DX, Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, Sonic Heroes, Zelda Ocarina of Time Master Quest, Zelda Windwaker, Mario Kart Double Dash and Super Mario Sunshine
Most of those were on the most wanted list, yet they did not work

try pressing "B" before the game loads and changing the DM version in settings from 2.2 or 2.0+ to 2.0 (you have 3 secs to do so before the game autoboots).
You need to do this once for every game If this works, since the settings are saved automatically.

Worked like a charm for all of them except, Ocarina of time master quest... idk why

Btw is there an easy way to change the pics of the channels?
