My Switch's power button suddenly stopped working. Are there any known causes/fixes, or is it probably the physical button that's broken? (Unpatched Switch, firmware 16.0.1, Atmosphere 1.5.1 in emuNAND, if any of that's relevant.)

I can still take it in and out of sleep mode with the Home button, but if the battery dies and the power button doesn't work I'm kind of screwed, right?

Make sure the folder is lowercase not capital letter S.

Yes it is ! I create another folder named "switchhh" and when I open this folder with HBmenu he can see everything and its work...my problem is with the original switch folder, I tried to delete it and recreate switch folder by myself, it's the same problem.

Since you're safe to use edizon to cheat for single player games on sysnand, is it safe to also use someone else's save for single player games?

I just decided to re-use my switch V1 and to soft mod it.
My switch is still in firmware 2.0.0 !!!

I had no problem to go in rcm, following homebrew guide and using sdsetup dot com.
Hekate 2023.05.01 starts well. Then Atmosphere 1.5.2 well to.
Checking switch params, I've : 2.0.0|AMS 1.5.2|S

But when I select Album (Picture Gallery), I've no Home Brew Menu and system seems to freeze. I can only press short power to return to Hekate.
My SD card is a SDHC 32 GB formated to FAT32.

Any Idea ? Should I update my firmware as I think there are no more reason to stay low ?

Can some one help me? I remember that people said you can have both CFW, either in a single microSD ou a proper SD for each one. I want to make the proper for atmos.

Hi I have a couple questions:

1) how easy would it be to transfer saves back and forth from yuzu to an unmodded switch using a modded one as a middleman? so it would be yuzu -> modded -> unmodded and vice versa. I do own a copy of the game and have NSO.

2) I ordered a v1 switch, when it comes in should I do a system transfer with my current OLED? Or should I just keep it fresh and just use it as a way to get my saves onto my OLED? My understanding is that if both switches are on the same nintendo account I can just use the official method of transferrring saves provided I import it to cfw sysnand

3) what's the easiest way to go about this? I want to be able to play my game on pc and move it onto my oled when I want to go out

1. Its a long process but doable. However it puts the modded console at risk for a ban since you have to go online to transfer it to the other Switch
2. Its up to you because up to 2 consoles can share the same Nintendo Account however transferring the saves from a hacked console puts the hacked console at risk for a ban since the transfer method involves connecting to the Internet
3. You take the save data from Yuzu and use a homebrew save manager such as JKSV or Checkpoint to import the save data onto the hacked console. Then you follow the steps to transfer save data between devices

I am entering to the Homebrew Menu trough a specific Homebrew Menu forwarder; and now that you asked me this question, I tried to enter trough any other game, maintaining the R button pressed, and the problem won't be reproduced, so it is related to the specific Homebrew Menu forwarder...

Do you know any way to fix this? Or I must enter trough any other game to avoid the error?

Well, what is the exact game/title/software that is causing the error?

I went ahead and got it formatted to FAT32, and moved all data back. However, it’s still giving me the 2002-4802 error. Is there an error dump I can give you or something to narrow down what’s happening?

This is the first I've personally heard the power button breaking down but fear not, plugging the console into a power source automatically turns the console on. You can also wake up the console by undocking it. Its a feature you can enable under System Settings if it is not already enabled.

I'm not sure who said its safe because Nintendo are the ones who ban people and they would never say its safe so unless that person works for Nintendo, I would take their word with a grain of salt. But if you choose to accept the risk, I'll just say that using someone else's save is the least of your worries.

I cannot believe I am doing this but this site has a guide on how to setup Atmosphere for SX Core units installed in Mariko consoles. I normally don't recommend as the guides for everything else are done better in other places but I'm not that familiar with modchips and I personally don't know of any other guides but that one for chips.

They can ban us for anything, but some things they don't seem to care for. Got a pirated game on your sysnand? Instant ban. Got cosmetic smash mods or pkhex? Seems they don't care.

Who said they won't ban people for mods for smash, since if you play online with mods you give them a reason to ban you.

I've got a freshly modded switch I purchased and whenever I start hbmenu from the main icon, any apps I open from inside of it make the switch instantly crash with an Atmosphere error screen and the error code 2347x003. If I start hbmnu in applet mode, though, I can launch apps just fine. Any idea what would cause this?

Can't find documents of individuals being banned if they're purely using cosmetic mods (not talking about skeleton hitbox changes those are insta bans). Whole data got leaked one time and info got sent to Nintendo, they didn't care and nobody got banned. Same for BoTW, a single player game, people modded/cheated, info got sent, Nintendo didn't care. People been doing this for years, myself included. Not banned.

Hadn't you mention in a zelda totk thread that you wanted to put modded saves on a friends account through the cloud? Thats a good bit higher risk then just using a save on your own console, since your using nintendo's cloud service on top of things. Don't think its worth jeopardizing your friend's account and switch either.

Correct, this is why I was asking about saves in general. My point was Nintendo cares about things more than others, and he's okay with it either way since we both understand there might be some risk. Wanted to also add, when I say modded I just mean like having all items, not stuff like infinite hp or moon walking etc. Finally I did this myself across my two switches some years ago and been fine, was a BDSP save with PKHex'd mons, but I've never used a different person's save.

i'm not super versed with the mod and stuff, but wouldnt doin the new system method also delete the save files i already have on my emunand? (i'm a zelda fiend and i have 100+ hours of botw i would be heartbroken if id lost them lol)

If I'm understanding right your switch is modded so Grab JKSV, backup all your saves with that, move the saves folder somewhere safe, remod your switch anyway you want, copy JKSV folder back in, load JKSV, restore your saves, $Profit.

I can't see why not as long as you load it with something like JKSV on emmuMMC side. I'm so Paranoid I never load the sysMMC part of my switch with the modded SD card in it, I ALWAYS make sure I take it out. As well, I have a modded switch just for this purpose and then 2 other or original switches for online use. But as long as you keep sysMMC clean and pure, you should be ok. Do all the dirty stuff on the emuMMC side, and take out the card before booting into sysMMC.

Thanks for the input. Basically my situation is I've been on sysnand for about 3 years now with mainly using PKHex and been fine, so I've only edited my own saves, but I was wondering if I would also be safe on my sysnand using someone else's save, it doesn't seem like saves (for single player games at least) are certificated so I reckon this should be fine.

Yes, I have. And some homebrews (like daybreak.nro and haze.nro) in /switch.

Its been a long time since I use my switch, this is what I have:

Mariko Switch FW 10.1.0
SX Core with sx os 3.0.5

I have read that SX stoped on the 11, so I guess the easiest way to upgrade to the last version is to first upgrade to 12.1 the to Atomosphere the to the last upgrade?

Can someone please guide me?

Seems so, no sign of life on it, and it was working just fine before this...

Are you using the official charger? Are you using the dock to charge? You should try plugging directly into the official charger that came with your Switch.

Official charger that came inside the box, after about 48 hours i then left it charging for another 24 hours with the dock , and so far no results of it booting, it flashes green for like a split second, so i assume that the dock CAN detect it.

I am having the exact same problem that @kriegerstamm is having. I have up to date Atmosphere, Lakka, and Hekate. The only thing that is not updated is my switch firmware which is at 13.2.1. I can upgrade it but haven't yet, but I am under the impression that Lakka should work regardless of the Switch firmware version. I have also tried the latest nightly build of Lakka and that also doesn't work.

The following is also true for me:

-storage device properly formatted to FAT32 - I have also tried 2 different SD Cards - a Sandisk Extreme, and a Samsung EVO plus. Neither works.
-switch is jailbroken and blocking nintendo servers etc,
-retroarch is downloaded via hbmenu appstore and currently updated (although I don't think having retroarch installed impacts Lakka)

My Lakka.ini file looks good, and my lakka folder structure also looks good.

I don't know if anyone knows how to run the logs, but if someone knows and that would help, please feel free to let me know.

I am willing to try anything at this point! HALP!
