18 Days (of school) left...

Met up with Beth around 7:20 ish at the light rail like usual. It was pretty darn windy today, but the day was going to hit the high 80's. The kid was wearing some tight blue jeans with an oversize white t-shirt (supposedly called a "Boyfriend-T" and was literally from her boyfriend). I asked her if Phillip, her boyfriend, was going to come to visit today. Beth said that Phillip kept on giving her mixed answers to confuse her. We talk about our random stuff, but half way we just stopped talking. No reason why, there wasn't anything to talk about. We get off the light rail station at school, and Beth decides to get coffee from Starbucks. There was a long line in Starbucks, but we weren't in a rush. We see a sale that runs from May 3rd to 12th. I ask her "That's odd, why would they run the sale until May 12th?? That is the worst possible date on Earth. For me. For you. And ESPECIALLY for Phillip.". She didn't get the joke, obviously. Beth just kept asking how is that date a terrible date. I tell her that it's gonna be her 5th month anniversary with Phillip. What a kiddo she is. We get her coffee and head out for the journey to school. I tell her that Phillip might be coming early from the station, and gets her paranoid about his early arrival. She keeps looking back at the light rail station to check for him. We hit the food court and I notice that Beth somehow got coffee on the sleeve of her white t-shirt (and the sleeve was pretty damn short). It's a mystery how coffee gets on the most random places on this child. She rolls up her sleeves and tries to hide the stain. She eats her cinnamon roll from Starbucks and I continue to make her paranoid of Phillip's arrival. Beth finishes her food, but she tells me that her stomach doesn't feel too well from the coffee and that she's gonna puke it out by sticking her finger to her throat. Now, I do not condone of such actions, but I couldn't tell the kid to endure it. She leaves for the bathroom and Brandon comes and sit with us. I tell him to act like he didn't see Phillip when Phillip arrives. I text Phillip to tell me when he gets to the food court area so I can direct Phillip to surprise Beth. Beth comes back and she decides to sit at another table. Now, my plan up until now was to make Beth and Phillip sit back to back without Beth noticing Phillip and start asking Beth questions about Phillip, within Phillip's hearing range. We sit down at another table and Brandon and I continue to make Beth paranoid about Phillip's arrival. I get Phillip's text and tell him to sit somewhere far from us in the food court. I get Beth's attention by asking her about her schedule next semester. During this time, I'm texting Phillip to sit behind Beth, with his back facing us. Phillip sits with his back facing us and I ask Beth, "Hey, describe Phillip with three words." I say, "Phillip is tall, light skinned, and stupid." I made sure Phillip heard this, just for giggles. Brandon already knows of Phillip's presence and talks crap about Phillip like I did. Beth said, "Stop making fun of Phillip. He's a tall, handsome, and nice guy." And then I ask Beth, "Well, what are three things about you that you would want to hear from Phillip??" At this point and time, Beth has yet to notice that Phillip is still behind her, facing away from her back. I say my usual mean stuff, and Beth says her usual stuff about my mean stuff. Beth then turns around and notices Phillip's backpack and says, "Hey, that's Phillip yall.". She's surpirsed, obviously. I tell Phillip that the gig is up and tell him to sit with us. Yeah, we got Beth pretty darn good this time. We talk until 9:40ish and Beth heads out to class. Brandon heads out around 10ish to donate blood and leaves Phillip and I alone. I tell Phillip about the dumb things that Beth did this past week. I get hungry and take out my bento box and eat my lunch around 10:40ish. Beth is back, and is skeptical about the things I told Phillip. Phillip changes the subject by bringing out poker cards, and teaches Beth how to play poker. We play poker until 11:20ish, and we wager flicks to the forehead. I win some, Phillip wins some, and Beth wins some. I head out for my Philo class around 11:20ish. In Philo, I found out that I got a borderline 80% as a total grade, pretty good considering that I took the dive when Michelle and I took an online test together. Michelle comes and checks her grade, she got a 83% for the online midterm while I got a 60-something percent. Class ended unusually early, 12:15ish, and Michelle and I head to the library. We talk about blood type personality and other stuff. Beth texts me around 12:30ish to tell me that she's out of class, but I told her that I was gonna meet up with another friend with Michelle later. 1:00, Michelle and I meet up with Jhyerssa(??). We talk for around 15 mins before Beth tells me that she's hungry and she's heading out for Jamba for a drink and flatbread. I leave Michelle and Jhyerssa, and meet up with Beth. We get her food and head out to the grass. We meet Brandon on the way, and he says that he's out for the day and he's heading out to get my turtle. I call Phillip to meet up with Beth and I on the grass. We meet up on the grass and eat our lunches around 2:00ish. Phillip pulls out his cards and we play Thirteens and poker. We make fun of Beth like usual. 2:45ish, we walk Beth out and wait for her ride with her. She leaves around 3:00ish. Phillip and I head out our own direction, but Phillip heads out early too. I stay in the library until 5:30ish for my ride and head home.

Today was a fun day over all. I loved the part where I planned out Phillip's surprise arrival. I felt good that I was able to make that kid happy before I left after not seeing her boyfriend for a while. Also, meeting up with Jheryssa and Michelle was kinda relaxing. It was nice watching those two kids talk about their guy problems back and forth. And, Brandon is getting me a turtle (or has gotten me a turle by now), and he's gonna bring it tomorrow. What a fun day, too bad I won't have a lot of them with those kids...
