Hacking WiiWare - EmuNAND in USB Loader GX

USBLoaderGX is my main (only active?) project.
I'm not the initial developer on it. A lot more devs worked on it before me.
I was the main beta tester since v1.2, and started updating it at v3.0 when the last developer left.

so for two years (since v3.0 release), all the changes are mine. I wish I could make it even better and fix all the issues, but I miss time and knowledge. I didn't learn programing other than reading the existing code and trying to understand and change things. I'm often making mistakes so I spend more time adding features than other developers would do.


If you install cIOS (d2x v10 for vWii only!), then you can play Wii iso and WiiWare/VC.

2. I have in the last week soft modded my Wii, and can play most of the games I have some just load to black screen.

3. To this thread question. I have usbl gx omg the best I found, nintendont. But i have done a syscheck and got all the iso hackmii suggested. How run wiiwar/vc from sd. Also best source for emulators for wii.

i hack my vWii by this method
and use this combination for cIOS

cIOS d2xv10-beta53-alt-vWii
cIOS base 56 & 57 & 58
cIOS slot 249 & 250 & 251

i set EmuNand_path & EmuNand_chanel_path in same folder " sd:\nand\ "
i go to usbloaderGX settings and then go Custom_path according to below photo

and then backup emunand on sd memory by red rectangle in below photo and install wiiware games (.wad) on emunand by blue rectangle in below photo

my console region and wad file region is same (USA)
i read somewhere that you said this games play as well for All cIOS (cave story & la mulana)
but this tow game not work
i saw in this topic (Wii cIOS EmuNAND Compatibility List) that "bomberman_blaster" maybe work but it did not work
when i run game : after 4-5 second returnt to wiimenu

then download ShowMeWads program's and open EmuNand Folder's from SD memory by it
this below photo shown the wiiware games have a property in the name "iosFlag"
but ios28-62 size is 0MB
how to can i inject cIOS to emuNand ? and i need to which one cIOS ? and how to find its ?

@mostafa, Sorry for the late reply, I wasn't online for a month.

You can't install old cIOS on vWii.
vWii can only install d2x v10 and v10 alternative.

I see you installed the "alternative" version, which is bad.
if you have issues, install v10 normal (revision 52 instead of revision 53).


Neek2o on vWii is hard to use as it's illegal to share. there's no legal version released for vWii.
You'll have to find the files yourself.

Not sure if this thread is still alive. I am able to install the wads through usbloader gx and download the images. BUt everytime I go to run one of the games I get a black screen and have to reboot my wii. I tried cave story and same issue. Does anyone have any tips for me? I was able to run all my vc and wiiware through usb but now that I set up emunand on usb I can't get them to boot. Thanks,
