Wouldn't it be cool if there was a program that simulated the Wii menu and allows you to start your favorite games, emulators, websites and programs? That's why I made this my current project following Wii Covermaker

WiiPC Alpha 0.1

Features:
- Create your own channels and edit them (in channels.xml).
- Select a name, picture and application to launch for each channel (in channels.xml).
- Change the scroll speed of the pages (in settings.ini).

Bugs:
- Opening files through command line doesn't work really great yet.

it should also be skinnable, and have previews when you click stuff mabye

also, it would be cool if it could read whats in the disc drive

if you can add your own things, it might be pretty cool

You can add your own things, did you even read my post?

It won't be skinnable since Wii doesn't have skins either (yet). Indeed I will make preview like on the real Wii, but make it optional so you have programs that do have preview and ones that don't.

lol, i realised that after, but skinning would be good, as then people could use it to launch frequently used apps and make it fit in with their desktop and such

Now if only it could emulate virtual console files, manage mii's & gamesaves, and you could download your own channels... Oh wait...

Looks good, might give it a try!

Very nice work!! Amazing stability for just an alpa build!

Even though you're probably already improving it, the only things I could possibly want from this are:

1 - Starts up in Full screen
2 - Sound shuts off when a channel is launched
3 - little animated previews like on the Wii

That's about it!! AWESOME!!!

I released a new version (0.2), you can now launch it in fullscreen on different resolutions and color depths and you can turn the background music off. To be honest, I forgot the turn background music off when channel launches...sorry
