I've used USBLGX for years now (since 2017) and even now currently I still never have used wiiflow or know why some recommend it in this current day?

Could someone provide genuine insight on the differences and why you'd maybe want to use one over the other? Or is more of a preference thing? Where they both functionally do the exact same things.

Different interface, this is subjective and personal preference, I think they both look great!

Usbloader gx generally has more features, better compatibility, and less (zero?) adjusting of settings for games to run properly

Wiiflow lite has plugins for emulators to play games from other consoles, whereas gx supports just wii and gamecube (and virtual console / wiiware games)

I'd say these are the major differences, for now

Soonish gx should improve further, especially in terms of (large) hard drive compatibility, and probably adding support for drives formatted as exfat

Those are the main differences off the top of my head

Edit: also gx can load and rip/backup physical disks/games, wfl can't

Thank you so much for the explanation, I knew very little about wfl aside from some surface level stuff but overall I can definitely see the want to use either now.

usblgx is kinda obvious for why you'd wanna use it but I can see people using wfl as a substitute emulator front-end for older games if RA isn't their taste.
