I'm trying to help someone who has this problem with their Gamepad.
What is happening basically is:
- In the main menu, when the game icons are shown on the gamepad, the gamepad touchscreen and buttons do not work at all
- In the main menu, then the game icons are shown on the TV, the gamepad analog sticks work, but buttons don't
- A Wii mote is used to start games. In a game, the gamepad works normally, buttons and touchscreen
- During the game, if you push the home button, the menu shows up, but the gamepad buttons and touchscreen don't work
Re-synching is not possible. Entering the settings is also not possible. The person I'm trying to help only has the gamepad and a Wii mote, no Pro controller.
Removing the gamepad battery while the gamepad is on (which supposedly forces a reset), does not solve the problem.
Any advice?
