Hacking What happend with sighax

So 33c3 was over 1 month ago and I am wondering what happend with sighax. Last year the shown Hacks Were published by devs pretty fast (memchunkhax2 by tuxsh, julian20 and others in early January 2016 and arm9loaderhax in mid february). I watched the 33c3 talk again and derrek said that we need to bruteforce a perfect signature for the bootloader. Its similar to arm9loaderhax, you need to bruteforce a modified key for keysector. So I am wondering why there is no progress. Signing own firmwares will help to crack the last pieces of 3ds. So my question is: Is there any Progress? Something in IRC channels what I dont know? Thanks in advance.

When you say progress, devs tend, sometimes if to keep their PoCs private for the time being if it's buggy and brick prone idk
