what are fav rpgs?

My favorites are Personas 3 & 4, Final Fantasy's 4-6, The World Ends With You, Fire Emblem Awakening, and Kingdom Hearts BBS and 2.5 FM. I've enjoyed the other SMT games and Tales games I've played, but I feel like I need to play more of them in order to have a definitive favorite out of them.

I see that Deus Ex was mentioned - I wasn't sure if that kind of gameplay would be acceptable as "RPG", but if we're going with the broad definition of the term then I have to mention the Deus Ex series and System Shock 2.
Why wouldn't Deus Ex be considered an RPG? It has all the core RPG mechanics.

Oh, I know that very well, it's just that I assumed (by looking at the list in the first post) that we're talking about traditional (J)RPG's. Deus Ex isn't exactly like Final Fantasy as far as presentation and gameplay mechanics are concerned. ;)

Let's see...

Fallout series

Final fantasy adventure/final fantasy mystic quest for original gameboy (not to be confused with mystic quest for SNES or any regular FF game). (note: tried to get into the remake 'sword of mana', but that manages to upgrade things in all the ways I dislike RPG's).

Secret of mana

Torchlight 2 (sorry diablo 3...torchlight 2 is just plain better)

Super paper Mario

Puzzle quest

Xenoblade Chronicles (though I have to admit I stopped playing at one point)

I'm probably missing a few (and I'm not sure titles like Okami, Muramasa: demon blade, Dust: an Elysian tail or sleeping dogs are eligible just because they've got a leveling system).
