Hacking vWii eShop Confusion

I am wanting to block Wii U side updates with Tubehax DNS and still be able to access the vWii side eShop and download/purchase VC games. Some people on another thread said vWii eShop can still be accessed with Tubehax DNS, others said you can't. Can you guys clarify on this? Thoughts/help appreciated

TubeHax only blocks the servers that handle updates, allowing you to still connect to the servers that handle eShop and online-play.

I believe the Wii U eShop and the vWii eShop use different addresses.

I can also confirm that I was able to access, and also download stuff from the vWii eShop while Tubehax DNS is active
