Hacking very borked wii

I got a JAP wii from ebay running 3.4, which I took apart, it doesn't boot any discs even with a chip,
when the drive is connected all channels fail to start.
the drive is fine it works perfectly on a different Wii, it has no warrenty and parts of the case are missing so I can't just send it to nintendo

so any ideas ?
