Hello

I have a metallic blue fat PS2 here with Free McBoot Version 1.966

I have on my old PS1 Memory Card (not original) a "The Legend of Dragoon Savestate, CD finished with almost 27 Hour playtime" savestate.

My problem is, my PS2 dont show the PS1 Memory Card in the Browser.

Its working on my PS1, i allready checked it today

On LaunchELF under MC1 (where is my PS1 memory card) it doesnt show anything either.

What can i do?
I want to transfer that savestate to my PsVita

Thanks

First mini Update:

I tried to play Legend od dragoon on my PS2.
the game can read my ps1 memory card and i can load my savestate.

But i cant save it on my ps2 memory card... Why can the game detect my ps1 memory card but the ps2 Browser not?

EDIT 2:
I tried it with older and newer version from LaunchELF.
4.42b
4.42d
The newestest 4.43a build

Nope, it dont Recognizes the PS1 card..

possibly a bad memory card. I don't know how you'll get the saves off there. psx saves are 8KBs apiece/per block at a hex length of 0x2000, so you could hex in a save from a memory card. however, you need the save to begin with. is the save located anywhere else?

what you'd want to do is create a save file on a new memory card, so that it's part of the toc, then inject extract the save from a memory card image (starts with SC then use hex length of 0x2000/block, think that game only uses one block though). then, you could have your save on a separate card. however, that's only if you have access to a memory card image with the save or the save itself.

Try copying the save data with your PS1 to another (best:official) PS1 Memory Card. Before messing around, you will want to have a backup.
Check both ports on the PS2. Maybe you get lucky with the second port.

I've heard certain third-party memcards might fail to get recognized on PS2 (vague memory here).

well, it's just food for thought in case you have the save located somewhere else like most apps use a memory card image, which you can extract the save from manually.

there may be a usb adapter for ps1 memory cards, where you can plug the memory card into a slot that connects to the pc. don't know if it exists or not or if it will suffer the same problem.
