Hacking using dstwo on new firmware

hello there im a bit of a noob in this whole ds hacking/exploiting sorry in advance,
currently im using a regular dstwo(not the plus kind) card to play my ds games, i have an old3ds with a firm off 11.2,
was wondering if i can update my 3ds to latest firm and the dstwo card will still work

Yes but before you do, install CFW by following https://3ds.guide

If you update first, you will lose the ability to do it (for free). Once you have CFW installed you can update.

is there something in the cfw i need to install or approve in order for the dstwo card to work or is it just so i wont loose the ability to install a cfw? currently i have soundhax and the homebrew launcher but didnt installed bootstrap

The second one - the DSTwo will work on any firmware regardless of if you have CFW.

So the DSTWO was actually a cart that couldn't be blocked because of how it functioned. Basically the onboard CPU allowed better memory mapping for the header and basically prevented the system from blocking it.
Coupled with the fact that Nintendo stopped updating to block flashcarts around OFW 7. So as long as your cart worked on anything past 7, then you are good to go all the way up to the current latest (11.5.)
