ROM Hack Undubbing "The World Ends With You"

Okay, well I"m trying to make myself an undub of "The World Ends With You" sofar I got the battle sounds to change over, (it was the folder called "Sound" oddly enough) what i cant find is the folder with the sound from the movies, I do know they're separate though since one of the failed attempts got me with Japanese writing in the movies but English text, bit of a pain but at least they're stored separately, any tips on finding things in the unpacked rom?

Can't you do it the other way around and put the english text in the japanese game?

In the data folder, the sound for the movies are in the .adx files. Copy them over and you get Japanese sound for the movies.

I'm interested. Is the original game's sound track in Japanese? It sounds like squeenix did the usual attempt at localizing the songs.

I've tried that before for fun, can't say it's stable though.
Every line ingame's of by 5-10 lines cause the US version has a few hidden lines :0.
Something about a hidden event that would be translated at a later time.
Lazy Square-Enix translators :0

Marvellous, its finished works great and is very satisfying to have done and surprisingly easy. i feel like sharing it but I'm fairly sure thats against the forum rules (no roms etc).

still, is there a way to share it or is mere discussion of that unadvisable?

It is the same for EU and JP versions.

They replaced some songs though. 'Three Minutes Clapping', 'Transformation', 'The One Star', 'Emptiness and' are all new. I actually have to say I like those tracks more than the original ones, and I finished the game in japanese.

can't you just share the process of how you undubbed it?

I used NitroExplorer to extract the files from the JA version, and import them into EU version. Tedious, but well worth your time.

I did similar but with DSbuff, just unpacked then overwrote the files from the English ver with the files from the unpacked Jap one, (sound folder an the ADX files) and the then just packed the files back up and shabam... course you need all the roms and stuff for that, oh and Dsbuff or DSlazy (its spiritual grandaddy) both need the .NET framework thingo to run too i found out.

its not that hard, or it might be that this is a particularly easy game to undub, I honestly don't know
