The purpose of this tutorial is to convert saves from virtual PS3 Internal Memory Cards to a physical PS1 Memory Card, using a Windows PC and a PS2 with FMCB, without a PS3 Memory Card Adapter or DexDrive.

In order to complete this tutorial, a PS2 needs to run uLaunchELF to copy the save to the PS1 Memory Card. A USB storage device is also needed to copy the save from the PS3 to the PC to the PS2.

    PS3 Saved Data >> USB >> PC >> USB >> PS2 (FMCB) >> PS1 Memory Card

    0. Download

    1. PS3, XMB
    • Insert USB into PS3
    • Select: Memory Card Utility >> Internal PS1 Memory Card >> game icon + [IMG] >> Copy >> USB
    • Copy .PSV save to USB

    2. PC, PSVExporter v1.3
    • Insert USB into PC
    • Load .PSV File

    3. PC, PSVExporter v1.3
    • Save as .MCS

    5. PC, MemcardRex
    • Export as RAW single save
    • Remove ".mcs" from filename
    • Copy RAW single save to USB

    6. PS2, uLaunchELF
    • Insert USB into PS2
    • Insert PS1 Memory Card into PS2
    • Copy RAW save file from USB (mass:/)

    7. PS2, uLaunchELF
    • Paste RAW save file to PS1 Memory Card (mc0:/ or mc1:/)

While I agree, I also think the PS2 is the most accessible way for people to manage their PS1 memory card files. The PS3 memory card adapter is expensive, and the DexDrive stopped being manufactured decades ago. I think I'll remove the PS2 part if the Memcarduino is ever mass-produced.
