Hi everybody. One week ago I bought a second hand 32gb wii u with a 750 external hdd Y cable (wd) for 100dls in my country. Works perfect.

Came with cbhc 1.6 and several games installed on the hdd (8 games) and 1, Mario kart 8, installed on the internal flash drive, I think (turned on the U whithout hdd and was the only game on main screen.

I installed super smash with update + dlc without problems with wup installer Y mod in hdd.

750 hdd is too much for me, so I think it would be better if I use the wii u with a smaller hdd (320) with an external enclosure with only 1 usb plug.

My question is, besides if is it recommended or not, not using an Y cable... Could be any problems with saves, updates and dlcs if I make this with the smaller hdd? Saves, dlc and updates could be corruped? It is necessary install dlc and updates again on the New hdd, or i Just install vanilla wup games and automatically saves, dlcs and updates are recongnized?

Is it safe connect to the network to play Mario maker? Previously blocking dns for updates.

Wii U versión is 99.99.99 U (think is the cbhc behavior)

Is it posible play smash online?

I really hope made myself understand.

Thank you very much

Im really enjoyning wii u, what a piece of entertaining box

only 1 usb plug.
HDD's works only with a external power supply or a y cable. Otherwise you can use a flash drive, but this is not recommended.

Yes. It is safe. You can play games only. Even with cbhc or pirated games.

Yeah. That is cbhc. There is an indicator when you turn on the console.

Yes.
