Hardware The Wii and USB keyboards..

Is the Wii picky over which keyboards it will work with, or will it work with anything you throw at it?

Because I've tried a PS/2 to USB adapter, and that didn't work, and I was thinking of purchasing one of those foldable USB keyboards (this one, to be exact) and was wondering if anyone else has tried one on their Wii.

Any proper USB keyboard should work, as they SHOULD all adhere to the same HID standard.

I use a Logitech wireless keyboard that works just fine.

The message board does!

Anything in the Wii settings where you have to type. Basically anything built into the Wii.

Not sure if there's any games that support it.

Edit : The Internet Channel also supports it.

Animal Crossing Wii will be able to use USB keyboard in the chat thing when you go online.

As long as it's got a USB thing on the end, it'll work with the Wii. I don't have one, because I don't really need it. The Wii's Internet Channel sucks, IMO.

USB keyboard support was added partially in 3.0 and then more completely in 3.1.

If you want to use the keyboard in Opera, also make sure you update the browser to its latest version
