Hacking Switch cannot read SD card

I recently had an issue with the boot.dat red screen and my sd card reader, 2 of the gold pins were missing from the connector so i got the fpc connector repaired and now I can boot back into sxos but for some reason when I launch the cfw the switch cannot read any of my sd cards and when I go into the album it actually opens up the album instead of the sxos menu, any ideas how I fix this? The sxos rcm menu can read the various payloads so it cannot be the same issue with the sd card reader. Any help would be appreciated.

Hold R when you launch the album. Maybe this is the problem.

If you like just buy this cheap microSD card reader part from Aliexpress and give it a go, nothing to lose I guess:
