Hacking Stay on FW 4.55?

I'm still wondering this too, I'm on 3.11 but since the exploits were discovered on 4.55 I want to update so I can download some games.

In general lower the firmware the better of course. Qwertyoruiop seems to think he can break (or has broken) 4.55 but he might not even release.

He's partially right- Qwerty HAS broken 4.55, and stated he may release when he discovers a second exploit, which according to Hydrogen already exists. I wonder if exploits will be released for lower firmwares...

Should I just update to 4.55 since it's already hackable? I just got my PS4 Slim purchased as of last week and delivered about two days ago. Stuck on OFW 4.07.

Hey guys, it seems like Im finally hitting the PS4 train.
I'll be buying Slim, so I was wondering should I be careful which FW is it on?
And should I update? (is it possible to access PSN store without updating ?)

I had it on 4.06 and couldn't access psn so I updated it to 4.55

I think it's too soon to be worried about not upgrading. I think it will be a while before it reaches a similar cutoff to 3.55 on the PS3 & 3.60 on the Vita.
