Can you give me instructions brutay? Im downloading GCOS cuz I havent done config disk yet and im on 1.9g. What all do i change for settings so that I have optimal configurations to possibly play brawl?

the Wiikey 1.9g update made it so the old 1.3 config disks for Wiikey no longer worked. You now have to have the config disk run off of GCOS (game cube operating system)
have you downloaded a multi pack game, such as Zelda ocarina of time bundled with Windwaker, etc. etc., where you boot it up, it shows as a gamecube disk, has a purple screen, you pick the game and format you want it to run in?
That's GCOS, and thats the only way you can get into wiikey config after you update to 1.9g.

You need a gamecube controller hooked up to play as it uses the game cube OS to run/patch.
And as far as instructions, the only thing I know is region free is the only thing that would count for now.. but I mean no one has gotten it to work, so there are no optimal configurations as of right now. Sorry, I'm in the same boat as everyone else.

Yes. Slower speed = higher chance of getting a perfect burn.

Umm, I don't think the GCOS Config disc is very sensitive to burn speed, but might as well do 4x anyways. And you aren't burning GCOS, you're burning the Wiikey 1.3 configuration disc, which allows you to change a few settings on your wiikey. The config disc just so happens to use the game cube operating system to update it.

and as for +Rs, i dunno. Just use whatever you use when you burn games.. that's what I do. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Np. I always use Verbatim or TDK DVD - Rs, burned using IMGburn at 4x. Never had a problem with either brand at 4x.

But im confused, which option do i change? This is what it says:

Well as of right now nothing works, however, you'll want Region Override ON.

Since the game is Japanese, it won't work on a US Wii unless your modchip disables the region locking.

However, don't update your wii with a game from another region! YOU WILL MAKE YOUR WII USELESS.

Therefore, never apply an update from a PAL or JAP game on a US console, or it could make your wii stop working.

and i'm not an expert on the subject, so be cautious when trying these things.. there are ways to ruin your wii.
