Hi, I'm discovering the joys of owning a Wii in the year of 2026. Better late than never. Been playing the NTSC Virtual Console version of Star Fox 64 a bunch, and there's this annoying audio distortion that's hard to ignore throughout the game, like the audio is crackling. It's most noticable in the end credits. This video I found on youtube shows it off as well, so I know the issue isn't just on my end: (45:56 in case the timestamp doesn't work) I was surprised how nobody online seems to have discussed this over the years. Has anyone else noticed this or similar issues on other n64 VC releases? Is the cause known? Out of curiosity, I did try the PAL Lylat Wars release, and the audio was perfectly fine in that one.

Hacking Some games don't work on USB Loader GX

Hi there, today I hacked my old Wii and installed the Homebrew channel and USB Loader GX (and yes I installed the cIOS). Then I tried the games. I have 4 games on the USB so far and only one works. I formated the USB to WBFS and tried it. One game (Avatar the last airbender worked) worked and all others didn't, but I can't figure out why. I can click on them and get to the start menu. Once I click launch the screen either goes black, or white and the remote disconnects. How can I fix this? Hope you guys can help me.

Long answer: post a Syscheck so we can confirm your CIOS(s) are out of date, then update them + make sure you are using one of the newer versions of GX + optionally reformat your hdd as fat32

Short answer: use modmii to do the same thing
