another quickquestion. i ve reading about nsp and xci files.. i just want to be able to run / install games on the external sd card, for free. I know i need the sx pro in order to run xci from the sd card. i ve been reading about nsp files and devmenu. when installing from the devmenu it asks if you want to install it to the SD CARD (AUTO) or internal memory. Is AUTO (SD CARD) what im looking for? or i still need SX PRO license for running nsp files from the sd card?

You can install .XCI files to the SD card without SX OS if you use homebrew applications such as ZeroTwoXCI, dOPUS, or n1dus. Not sure if Auto is referring to the SD card or not, but you can install .NSP files to the SD card without DevMenu. Examples include the aforementioned dOPUS and n1dus, but you can also use other homebrew apps like Rommenu (which is extracted from SX OS) or Tinfoil (developed by Adubbz/Xortroll).

"XAW40012XXX and above not not safe, possibly patched" but mine is not patched. so this list is not 100 percent accurate and only way to tell is just trying it out.
Well, for some serial numbers there is some overlap (like in your case "possibly patched" means that for that S/N range, there are both reports for patched and unpatched consoles), but for OP's S/N it seems to be clear.

hello all, just to let you know i received the switch XAW1005### and exploiting it with sx pro was very easy. have 11 games on it already, used n1dus to install nsp to sd card. I backed up my nand also. Thank you all for your help.
