Hardware Sealed New 3ds firmware?

Im going to import a Jap new 3ds next week and i would like to know what firmware comes with it. It would be really nice if you could tell me what color and model is it. I really need a 9.xx one because once Gateway release his new update Nintendo will update asap and im not going to be able to update to 9.xx unless i get a Jap copy of a games that updates my console to 9.xx.

Since you're from the Netherlands, why not an Australian N3DS? Also, I believe both come with 8.X in box

fellow dutchie here, any new 3ds will ship with a usable fw. Why would you specifically require one on 9.x? I'm flying to Japan in ~13 days and I plan on picking up a new 3ds LL, so if you can wait then I'll be able to tell. I'm sure someone will beat me to it tho XD.
also... Japanese 3ds are hella cheap compared to Australian ones. I'm paying ~ €125 for my LL. The profit margins on those things by online sellers are insane!

I'll side with zerou above and recommend you buy an aus model though, unless the region lock and language are not issues for you.

The Japanese ones that are standard come with 8.1, the newer ones like the ssb limited edition comes with a higher one. All the Australian ones come with 9.0.

bought 2 SSB LL. Came with 8.1J. Right set is after the update from 8.1 to 9.2.
