Trying to get an ips screen on ebay or craigslist. Is there a way to check besides angle pics. I know about this

but was told they can't use browser
unless they update to 11.3, which I don't want. Any pointers or suggestions to help determine screen type without paying jacked up prices by the few listed as such.
