Gaming "Reading disc...." Issue on softmodded Wii

My Wii is softmodded, I have this issue with Just Dance 2018 that's running off of a USB flash drive, after a few minutes in-game i get a black screen and a message saying "reading disc...." , this also happens with a physical copy of Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games.

I'm new to this forum and wii hacking in general so i hope this is the right place.

Hello,

Do not use a USB key, it works poorly with the wii.

Use an external hard drive, it will work much better.

The problem is I don't have an external hard drive on me isn't there any workarounds?

so, your console has problem playing original, official game discs?
why do you think the problem is softmod related?

if the problem happens when using the console "officially", as intended by nintendo, did you try another Wii ? Another disc ?
find the problem, it's either one of those.
