I ordered 2 and 2 R4DS from realhotstuff.com
It may be worth mentioning that realhotstuff gave a tracking number quickly.

I will post how well this card does with the R4DS when they arrive.
Mainly I will be testing Castlevania: POR and other problem games.

Has anyone tried this card from geeks.com already?
It is SD-C01G so I am confident that it will not have freezing issues in Castlevania: POR.

I have the Kingston Jap 1 gig micro-SD (SD C01G), which is supposedly identical to the Toshiba, and mine has already frozen once on both Castelvania POR and Tony Hawk Downhill Jam on a R4DS English version (these seem to be the problematic ones as all the other roms I have tested seem to work perfectly).

I would be interested in hearing your report as I am considering a Sandisk ultra as well to see if this fixes the problem (though Downhill Jam apparently has slowdown, no matter which card you use)

Dude

Ok both Toshiba Micro SD cards finally came in.
I am happy to say they are Made in Japan and have the serial code SD-C01G.
They look identical (print and all) to the Kingston Japan ones, except it says Toshiba on the top instead of kingston.
They each came with a Full SD card adapter and 2 plastic slips.

I have put 700 - 800MB of games on the card and
I am currently trying to get Castlevania: POR to crash/freeze.
So far no luck, any suggestions?
Also does anyone have any tests they would lik eme to try?

The Castlevania POR intro runs at full speed, no slowdown at all.

So far so good.

Ok so far after a few hours of testing I think the card works great.

The only problem I seem to be having is with Bionice Heroes.
The touch screen controls are a bit weird and sometimes unresponsive.

PoR would sometimes crash on me when I would go to the portal room to transport to another place. It would crash when I was cycling through the different locations. So try going to that map and cycle back and forth real fast and see if it locks up.

Funny thing, I had started PoR and was psyched that I would be able to play it without problems since I have an Ultra II microSD 1GB card for my R4. As soon as I could start running around with Johnathan, I pressed Start. Froze. Wtf.

Yeah, it looks there are some bugs, no matter what brand card you use. It sounds more like a firmware/patching issue in order to fix the problems roms/improve card compatability.

dude
