a guy is selling a 5.07 PS4 slim near me and I was wondering if 5.07 is as stable as 5.05??
Same payloads used for both fw?

5.05 is the same in the of stablity compare to 5.07, keep in mind 5.07 has no recovery pup.

You won't be able to stay on 5.07 and change the HDD as it has no recovery.pup , you can do that on 5.05, or other firmware that has recovery, 5.05 is more stable than other exploitable firmware.

I wanted to upgrade the 500 GB HDD to 1 To so I guess I will keep the 500GB

Well worse case you can use external HDD and use extended format but requires activated profile, but if you really want to be on 5.0x just get a 5.05 unit instead, so you can upgrade the internal HDD.

IMHO if you don’t want to clone back up your HDD just incase: I would be tempted to update that 5.07 to 6.72 for convenience.

Leefuls hosts for that firmware are very good for stability.
