Hi. I am going to buy a secondhand switch. The user only used emuNAND and his sysNAND is clean. But what concern me is he didn't used Incognito or Exosphere while using internet ,tinfoil, youtube or even he said NINTENDO ONLINE, in emuNAND. He even opened FC 25 but said the game turned itself offline and didn't connect to any online feature.

I am a simple man I want to play Smash online on sysNAND and story-based games on emuNAND. Am I able to install Incognito or Exosphere after all this use and be safe? Will there be a ban risk, (highly)?
Is it worth the purchase?
Need your guys help really. Is it worth to buy this console?

If I buy that console, should I install exosphere after getting it? Or will installing it make it more risky to get ban because of not having any exosphere at the first place? Or will it be a little more safer?

If it got flagged for a ban already then it is no use, if he installed NSP and he didn't blocked server communication then it might not be worth it. Ideally he should have setup exosphere + DNSMitm.

But if there is a chance and it wasn't flagged by Nintendo. Do you think installing exosphere and DNSMitm will make it a little more safer?

No, the correct way is to set up exosphere/dnsmitm at the start of emunand use, to block server communication. He probably installed NSP/XCI on that emunand anyway.

Yes unfortunately. He used tinfoil for months. I was happy to find a switch that in my price range because other options 100 dolar more expensive. There is a guy in my town that modchips switches. This was his mistake, he does everything about chip to setup and he is been doing this for more than a year. I was going to buy a brand-new modded switch from him but after hearing that he doesn't properly setup the connections, it feels not safe, but i don't have any other chance to buy a modded switch anywhere.
What do you think I should do? There is people that bought switches from him and using safely for months. I can't ask anyone besides you guys from internet. Thanks again.

The only way to know the Sysnand is clean is to buy one yourself from retailer and get it modded, even if it chipped by someone else, just don't provide any SD card while the Modchip is being installed. I recommend an OLED if you can afford an OLED.

Buying a non-modded switch and modchipping it automatically higher the price by atleast 100 dolar.
I understand. I am %100 sure that the guy's sysNAND is clean. But not the emuNAND with pirated games. The only thing he lacks is exosphere.

By not blocking server communication it affects sysnand also, keep in mind emunand just a copy of sysnand/ ofw.

I have one that I bought by myself and was modded by someone so I know it is 100% clean sysnand as I set up an emunand with exosphere on the first day of cfw on it.

buying this guy's switch, having it get banned, and having to buy another one to replace it automatically makes the prices way higher too

so just go ahead tbh, it doesnt seem like you're willing to accept advice and you just want people to validate your choice to buy this one

No, actually I listen to your advices, just need to spend more money to be safe.

I think I'm going to buy a used non-modded OLED switch, get it chipped and mod it by myself. Or atleast make the setup CFW with the guy but properly this time with exosphere and stuff.
