Hey there,

Clearing out the attic and discovered my old modchipped PS2 (Magic V chip) haven't a clue what that chip is and does but and booted it up and still plays "back-up games" after all these years......surprised !!!

I have a couple of questions if anyone can give me some tips that would be great.

Interested in setting up a HDD in the expansion slot using a WD2500AAKX 250Gb HDD that i have lying about here.
I have reading and watching videos etc but just want to confirm, if it's chipped then am i correct in saying that i do not need and freemcboot card ?

If not, then what do i need to load and play games direct from the HDD, i know i need a PS2 SATA HD Hard Drive Adapter for the PS2 but what else ?.

Only thing i have done is connected the HDD to the PC and formatted to FAT32

Any tutorials/pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Not familiar with Magic V, but it's probably best to install FreeVast/FreeMCBoot/FreeHDBoot on the HDD since it's more friendly in launching homebrew like Open PS2 Loader.
