Hello temps right now I have a Wii U 5.5.0 so I wanna wait until a backup loader is compatible and my question is what should I buy for future backup loaders? A huge SD Card or a Huge SSD? I know none of us know what will happen in the future, but will usb loaders maybe use a external storage instead of SD's in the future thanks! (In short, Should I buy a SSD or a SD to play backups on Wii U homebrew in the future)

I'll suggest you to wait for actual things being released before considering to buy anything.

It could take a week, or a year before any backup loader for this version sees the light of day.

Well this is how I don't want things to go: Finally loadiine works with 5.5.0 and I buy a massive sd card and then all of a sudden a faster external loader comes out and then boom I may still be able to run backups, but people with the SSD will have a faster gameplay and most likely online compatability and then before we know it SD card support is officially unsupported by loaders and the sd supported loaders are to old to run proper games. The end. (I may be overthinking this :P)

What do you mean "most likely online capability?" What does ssd have anything to do with online play? Where are you getting that info from? Plus you mention speed. I have an 128gb sd card that runs every game as fast as disc (except for Mario 3D world but that's a known issue).
