Hardware Playstation Plus Vita Bundle spotted

BREAK DOWN TIME

3G/Wifi Vita w/ 8GB Memory Card = $250 (On Amazon)
Unit 13 = Approx. $24 (On Amazon)
12 Months PS+ = $50 (On Amazon)

Total for non-bundle purchase: Approximately $324

Looking at this bundle, for essentially $300, you only get a 4GB card as well. To upgrade to a 8GB card, you'd have to spend $25. So this actually doesn't save you anything. What a bundle.

The memory card is a bit useless. I wish they'd just make bigger ones available. For example, I'll have to buy another card before even thinking about downloading Uncharted if the 4GB download is true. Aww well.. I'll just skip it until I really want to play it :D

What's your opinion on Playstation Plus? Worth it or no?

It seems like a really good deal. I mean for the price of a new game (roughly) you get a pretty large amount of free games every month that's constantly updating across the Vita and PS3. Not to mention discounts, cloud storage, preference for betas and early releases, it's just a really good package.

I can see a lot of people buying the Vita, a large memory card, and just using PS+ honestly.

Even that people may say that 4gb is not enough, it is a good deal. We get used to low memory prices, but since the floods in Asia last year I stoped to see memory being sold like nothing.

And remember, it is the 3G version. If a hack happens, well...Vita3G + hack + Android = the best cellphone already made by mankind.

I really do doubt having a Vita 3G would be ideal for a handheld with Android. As the Vita is nothing like a normal phone like no console is like a PC, you'll have a hard time trying to get everything to work, especially the PSVita side.

As the best cellphone is an opinion, I won't go into that any more, but the Nexus 4 is quite a good contester for it's price and features.

Icealote: PS+ is probably one of the best paid online service available. I was skeptic at first, but Sony has proved that the PS+ is worth it, especially if you have PS3 (2 consoles and a load of free games). And there are also retail games, not just minis or others.

This is gamestop we're talking about. They wouldn't know what a bundle would look like even if its proverbial junk swatted 'em across the face.

This is the same company that will only accept $1~5 for a console-specific cable and turn around and sell it for $35.
This is the same company that didn't give the Sega Dreamcast 24 hours from Sega's announcement to bow out of the hardware market before they liquidated everything they had for it - even when there were still DC games that were intended to come out.
This is also the same company that insists on forcing you to subscribe to some rewards program now, whether you want it or not.
