I found this youtube guide pretty noob friendly and straight-forward if you just follow it as shown

If I remember correctly (it's been a long while since I used OPL) you must have a config file for ELF loading that points OPL to where the files you want to load are, it doesn't auto detect it. I sadly can't remember what the structure was however, your best bet would be searching on PSX Scene's official OPL forums, or even posting there.

Sorry but im really not following what you want exactly. It is to run your ps1 VCD's from popstarter, correct? If so the first video i linked does just that. Not sure what you meant by dead links since he directly gave the link to the ps2home forums.

I know right. Everyone has given how to do it he really doesn't understand how it works. The elfs loader is like a forwarder for psx games. This is how it has to be done.

I am also curious about this. I also can use ulaunchelf elf to brows to my USB stick to load PSX games, but what is the best way to play PSX games from USB stick using OPL?
