I know screen mods for the 3DS almost never existed and that opening the console to change the screen is hard to do, but i was just wondering, out of simple curiosity...

It is (technically) possible to have an "OLED Screen" mod for the 3DS, does anyone ever tried to make one ?
Or maybe does that even exists for the DS/DSi ?

Nintendo never made OLED screens for the 3DS, so there's no way to install OLED screens on a 3DS. The 3DS's screens are proprietary, and thus no real ability to create new kinds of screens. Your best bet is finding IPS panels depending on the model of 3DS/2DS you have.

According to Martin (Nocash) the top one is DSI, you know, the DISPLAY connector on most raspberry pis that took 7 years from launch to get any official use and nowadays has probably 5 models out for it? :)
With a different pinout and who knows what scan rates, of course!

I guess it would be possible to use an OLED 2DS (just without the 3D, I think it could be possible to implement but way too hard).

However, I don't think anyone will never engineer a way to use an OLED screen on the 3DS itself, but it would be possible and much easier to use an entirely different motherboard running an emulator of the 3DS with those OLED screens, probably with Android or a Linux distro.
