[QUOTE="Taleweaver, post: 7805290, member: 237261"] (note: I only noticed this thread now) Why does this thread have eleven pages? Honestly...is there ANY real reason why they shouldn't? Cost is never an issue, as remastering only costs a fraction of the actual development time (and with barely any manhours needed to recreate the port, barely any manhours are lost on development of new games). It fills the library with quality titles, ensures that those who never had the previous platform can also enjoy the game and it's a quick and simple way to make money in a non-controversial way*. It's a win-win for (practically) everybody. What I don't get is that this isn't the first time I've seen this discussion pop up. What's up with that freaking entitlement of gamers? I also read a lot, but I've never heard of anyone hating the fact that the author had a second print of their book. Or that (s)he wrote a new intro. Or converted it to an e-book. Perhaps readers take it for granted that they've bought something that they can still enjoy (here's something that flies right over the heads of the yes-voters: YOU CAN STILL PLAY THAT GAME ON YOUR WIIU!!!) Movies and series are also reconverted all the time. After VHS, every movie came out on DVD. Remastered and with extras, but the same movies. And then yet another time on blue-ray. Oh, and on netflix, hulu and what have you. Do you think any true fan of the medium is going to tell Hollywood that remastering an old movie to be used on a modern device is somehow bad? EDIT: for clarity: I voted no. Nintendo can re-release their entire freaking library for all I care. I'm just going to do something that may sound controversial: not buy games like Donkey kong tropical freeze or bayonetta again (I already have them!). *even you "yes"-voters gotta admit that it's a better way for ninty to make money than squeeze all that can be had out of DLC or loot boxes. I second that, they are good. I always get the steak and add mushrooms to it also. But yea been awhile since had myself. I used to go there every morn for coffee and breakfast, meet with my work crew, but we all stop going, too expensive.
