Hacking News channel error downloading

i turned wiiconnect off before removing the battery. now after mod chip install my vote channel and news channel were not working so i deleted the vote memory stuff. and the vote channel works fine but my news doesn't not work it says error downloading updates.? any help...everything is working flawlessly except vote channel

When i had the same problem with the News channel i just formatted the system memory without taking out the battery and it was fine after that.

a lot of the time you get the error because the nintendo servers are so busy you cant connect to em... when i have my wifi thing in i get this sometimes, try at another time and it works fine... thats what i think is happenin

ugotpwned5 unfortunately you will have to reformat your system memory. I had the same problem after installing my wiikey. News channel would always give the unable to download update error. It's alright though, just back up all save games, channels and VC games (if any) onto an SD card. If you have any credit on the shop channel don't delete it off your console. After the system format you will be able to recover your credit and shopping downloads.
