Hacking new dvd drive

ok so i recently bought a new dvd drive for my pc because my old one only supportes +r but im having some problems with it...every time i burn a game i get the 324 error on gamma with rev7. ive tried all sorts of media alas to no avail. so i think its the drive its a lite on and i got it ar my schools computer show. i have a feeling i have to set somthing in imgburn but dont know what.

p.s i wrote this on the wii without a keyboard because my comp is off and its late where i am so plz respond!!!

yo have to set the booktype for dvd+r to dvd-rom

yes, dvd-r should work. if you take a look at all the threads saying "x game does not work", 99% of the people are using dvd+r. do some searching next time.

trust me ive done my homework im not asking if a dvd-r will work or not im asking is thier something i need to configure in img burn like a booktype sorry its late so if i sounded rude i didnt mean it

DVD - (minus) R shouldn't need any booksetting, only + (plus) R.

hmm well then the drive might be broken never trust school shows!! lol im going to try to burn something else today like a file of some sort just to see if it works

no my games worked fine with the old drive but uf thats what you means by setup yes. the old drive only supported +r's but they all worked the new one in my computer i have now suppoerts everything but nothing works

Looks like it's the thing you changed then which would be the dvd drive and/or media.

EDIT: i got it to work i had to change a setting in imgburn from my old drive to my new drive settings it works now thanks for your help guys
