Gaming Need for Speed: Rivals - How to pause

Hi, I bought this game and I can't pause it when pushing the options button - even though I changed the server option for single player. I looked some threads online, but the solutions mentioned don't work on the PS4. It doesn't even pause when I push the PS button. So, how can I pause the game?

the other need for speed on ps4 doesnt have pause, maybe this one doesnt either
