Well, I have this console for a while, and I have been playing with the drive that came with the console, but is just 8 GB, so I bought a new one from a friend that is 1TB. I've put the games (Just Mario Galaxy, Wii sports, MK Wii and Smash Bros) on the drive and tested, put my Wii didn't read the file for the games.

I realized I've forgot to format the disc to FAT32, then I did, reinstalled the games (just to be clear here, I used Wii backup manager to organize the games IDs and split the files for Smash Bros). Now my Wii recognize the wbfs file, thats good, but they doesn't read the games.

I think the cIOS are set correctly and everything, I've been playing perfectly with the old disc. My new HD is NOT A FLASH DRIVE, but I don't know exactly the model, is a Samsung kind of BS. Can someone explain if I did something wrong? I just wanna play Smash ;-;

Is it MBR? If not, make it so
What is this?

hello,

Do you see the games displayed on the GX menu?
As I said, it doesn't show the games, but it reads the wbfs file, because I tried to plug in without formating the disc to FAT32 and I doesn't even read the file. Now that I format to FAT32, it reads the wbfs file, but not the games.

How to check if a disk is MBR or GPT using Disk Management:

Right-click the Start button and select "Disk Management" (or press Windows + X and select "Disk Management").
Once Disk Management opens, right-click the disk you want to check (on the left side, where it says "Disk 0" or similar).
Select "Properties."
Click the "Volumes" tab.
Look for "Partition Style"—it will clearly say either "Master Boot Record (MBR)" or "GUID Partition Table (GPT)."

Probably because of devkitppc and/or libogc .

Wii homebrew has never really been good at supporting a lot of USB storage devices. Even PS2 homebrew is much better at it.

Well, it´s not MBR, but I can't convert it somehow, the option just appears grey in my pc. I deleted all the files but it still does not convert.

You can run modmii's usbloader setup wizard, or just follow that step from this sample guide, it includes 3 methods to convert to MBR
