Gaming Mobile vs. 3ds

So, my 3ds has a sticky r button, don't worry I ordered the part off Amazon, and know how to fix it.

But, since my 3ds was screwed up, I said why not and got a $10 Google play card. Well there's lots of kinds of games on mobile not available on 3ds, like Western RPGs and 1st person RPGs. Got a games called aralon swords and shadow, and it's pretty cool. Then there's the Diablo kinda games like exiled kingdoms (which blows away most 3ds RPGs imo). Games on mobile are cheap if not free for the most part, and when you buy them you have them for life even if you get a new device.

3ds games, some are cheap, some are expensive. (But I have Have cfw so what do I care) better grafix overall though. Has a few games way to big to ever be played on a phone like monster Hunter. Oh... And 3ds... HAS BUTTONS!!

So what do you guys think

Fuck mobile. There may be a few gems but the majority is just pay2win ripoff designed to get you addicted and spend more money. There are also no buttons (onless you spend the extra money for some crap controller grip thing which may not work with all games) which is a big no no imho.

If you are talking about MH Stories get the 3DS version because the mobile version has been dumbed down for phone controls and apparently has not much better graphics.

Yeah I forgot the pay to win crap, there's a lot of those games, but there's plenty that aren't like that

I don't really like mobile, but imo a few games are fun, like Super Mario Run and Minecraft Earth. Yeah, I just don't like those pay to win things, however some games allow you to earn that stuff, but yeah. So you really should, after the repair, go back to 3DS games.

My children, 6 and 8, have access to a wii, wii u, 3ds, tablet and phone games. (yes, I do try to restrict gaming, and never give them a dozen new games at a time, just one or two ). Especially my 6 year old daughter often herself starts a Gameboy advance, or SNES, or Sega emulator on the Wii and play older versions of Kirby, and other games. Real buttons are important in many games. A pity there are no android tablets with plenty of gaming buttons (not just digital). But I guess someone will eventually release a $100 tablet that emulate 1000 games from NES to GBA, or something.

I have to add that while my children don't care if a "game looks old", they don't much like NES or Commodore 64 era 8 bit games. SNES or better, and 3DS delivers still.

I will spend some time on Zelda, Ocarina of time and Majoras Mask, I've never played them and as the 3ds versions seem rather good I'll give them a try. Can't imagine playing those on mobile.
