What exactly is the issue with Vita games post 3.60, is there a specific reason why they are unplayable? And do you think they ever will be playable? I know it can be quite a stupid question to ask but I am trying to just find what people think

The games post 3.60 require you to be on 3.61/3.63 or 3.65 and since you arent on those firmwares you cannot play the games.

Nope, no one is actively working on such a thing in public and i dont expect to see it happen before the end of 2017. 2018 potentially... but again dont get your hopes up.

The OP is asking for the specific reason why post-3.60 games cannot run on 3.60 i.e. why spoofing doesn't work.

Cursory investigation seem to show that it's failing lv0 version checks. If true, that means we can't spoof fw until either a lv0 hack or a hack on newer fw.
Very likely to be lv0 checks. At offset 0x1B0 of the control info of the SELF, there is a min system version field. This is signed along with the rest of the SELF and is likely checked by lv0. That means we won't be able to bypass it anytime soon (it would require a lv0 hack). It is also possible that Sony added new keys to 3.61, which means that lv0 must be hacked in 3.61 to get them.

That seems to be the reason.

Yeah that is what I was looking for, I am quite surprised the Vita Scene is not very big but I suppose with the new SD2Vita's this could change hopefully
